This is a wonderful Wooden Hand Craved Angel made by the late Hector Rascon (May 22, 2017). This beautiful piece of Folk Art depicts an Angel with wings out. The Angel is a wall hanging and has twine attached to the back for hanging. There is also a piece of twine around the waist. Hector learned his craft from his father-in-law, and famous artist, Ben Ortega.

Hector is perhaps best known for his carvings of St. Hector carved his pieces from cottonwood and follows the natural gentle bends in the wood. Each piece is unique and reflects and individual personality and character. Hector is one of New Mexico's most recognized folk artists. (painted and carved images of saints).
