OLD Northwest coast Eskimo Doll Animals Set Hand carve wooden sculpture folk Art

  

The sale is for an absolutely fantastic wooden hand carved and painted northwest coast, Eskimo doll and animal set. These come out of a collectors estate of Native American items. I believe them to be from the early 1900s. They could be earlier than the 1940 date listed. The only marking I can find is a very partial label to the bottom of the polar bears belly.

It looks like it was square and had some printed ink lettering. The details to these animals is quite fine. Please see all pictures as they are a large part of my description.

I tried to picture all angles, so nothing is hidden. Included is an Eskimo doll that stands 5 inches tall.

He has a cloth parka hide Pants and moccasins. The largest of the animals is the seal that measures 3 1/2 inches long. The walrus has a paint chip to his nose. There is a black and white sled dog.

Last is a polar bear. They all have fun details around mouth, eyes and ears.
