Large Antique Hand Carved Wooden Tramp Art Box Shabby Chic Cottage Folk Art

  

Fantastic piece of antique Americana Folk Art with a shabby chic cottage look. This footed tramp art box was long ago painted a creamy off white color. There is some chipping & crazing to the painted surface which creates a wonderful patina. It measures 10-1/2 wide x 7" high x 8-1/4" deep. The lower part of the front latch flap is missing, see photo.

It is crudely lined with a faded satin fabric held in with thumb tacks. Overall very good condition with no broken parts to the many layered wood carvings.
