A rare offering to you. Boston Artistic Carving Company 25 Carved Wood Bellamy Eagle. This was found amongst a very well established patriotic and US History collection in Kenosha Wisconsin. Beautiful hand carved and painted American eagle, made by the Artistic Carvings Company of Boston, MA. This carving can be found in their catalog and is known as the "Louisburg".

In remarkable original condition and paint. Highly detailed carved gilt eagle with spread wings, clutching three arrows in the eagle's right talon and the U.

Shield in the left talon. Painting has a wonderful aged style to it.

US Shield displays one white star, on a blue background, with red and white stripes. Right talon with the gilt cluster of arrows on a black background. This particular Bellamy style carved Eagle, named Louisburg, came in two different sizes as illustrated in the Artistic Carving Co.

Of Boston's catalogue (the company ceased operations in the 1950's). Hand finished and decorated with compo-gold leaf and "authentic" colors, a beautiful representation of American patriotism and symbolism depicting the intimidating strength of the American Eagle grasping in its clutches the US shield and arrows.
