Old Antique Vtg 19th C 1800s Folk Art Hand Carved Wooden Woman Bust Figure Nice

This offering is for an antique mid 19th century folk art hand carved bust of a woman. 8 tall and it was carved from a single piece of wood that may be walnut. The figure has a wonderfully folky hair style and a bold presence. There was a repair done to the figures lips a very long time ago, quite possibly while the carver was still working on her. The area is slightly lighter as seen in our photo's. Otherwise there are no chips, cracks or breaks and she has an excellent very deep patina. The original varnish is intact and has mellowed wonderfully over the years.
