Vtg Large Carved Cedar Ship With 3 Sails Folk Art WITCO 1960s Patina 3'×2' Tiki

  

It measures 3 feet long and 2 feet to the top of the sails and is about 1.5 wide. It has a fantastic 3D tiki feel.

The cedar grain really accentuates that. I believe this was made by Witco in the late 1960s to mid 1970s. It would have been mounted to a backing and hung on the wall. This was clearly removed from its backing and left outside for many years. The staples are still mostly there on the back. The age and weather patina is phenomenal. Cedar is a wood with very rot resistant oils and one end and a few small spots on the sails have some rot which really tells you how long this was outside. Its very solid even with those areas.
