Vintage Folk Art Carved Penguin
This is a wood carving of a standing Penguin that appears to be looking around. It is painted with white and black paint which appears to have been removed from the feet and beak, giving it an antique appearance. Wings appear to have been separately carved then attached so they appear to all be one solid carving. It is 11.5 inches tall and weighs nearly one pound.
We found it in a collection of antiques but have no information on this bird. It is not signed or dated so it is kind of a mystery. We still fell in love with it. We did find some similar being offered on line.
