Wood Carved Sleigh Sled Folk Art Rare Antique C1880-1900s Austrian German Iron

  

Antique primitive handmade folk art sleigh or sled made in Austria/Germany. Heavily carved in native wood in the late 1800s to early 1900. The iron rails are screwed into the wood. It depicts nature scenes with trees and the mountains in the background.

Back area is painted with flowers in a German dutch design. Carved maiden seated at front in a very revealing dress with dogs by her side. It is 32" Long & 18" Tall. It weighs between 30 and 20 pounds. Dows have scratches, cracks, nicks and paint wear.
