Chainsaw Carved Golden Eagle Wood Carving Birds Statue Sculpture Hawk Folk

  
This eagle was carved with a chainsaw from a scotch pine log. It stands roughly 19 inches tall and is 9 inches wide and 8 inches thick. It has been sealed with spar urethane giving it a glossy finish. This carving can be kept indoors or outdoors.

The carving does have some cracks in it as you can see in the pictures. Cracking is a normal occurrence in wood carvings and cannot be prevented. More cracking over time is possible as the carving ages especially if it is kept outside in direct sunlight or near excessive heat. Cracks add character and authenticity and shouldn't be viewed as a defect. The best place to keep a chainsaw carving is in a cool Shady location like a covered porch.
