This listing is for a really interesting piece of folk art, by known artist Ubiracy Da Silva out of Henderson, NY. This piece is really interesting, I believe he hand carved this entire plane to look like a dachshund dog! It has a true antique iron and the iron holder is a hand carved man.
To me, the iron holder does not seem to stay in place, but I may just have it in wrong (it displays correctly when on a flat surface, when you pick it up, the iron wants to fall out). Plane measures just shy of 9.25 inches in length, just shy of 5.5 inches tall. Really fantastic piece of folk art and a great conversation piece!
