Antique Folk Art Carving Nude Woman High Heels Circa 1930 Art Deco

  

Up for sale is a neat art deco wood carving of a nude woman with heels on a wood base. All carved from a single piece of wood. Loads of details on the carving. Super nice face and hair.

Singed on the base Smelser but the person ran out of space and the last letter dangles below the rest of the word. Good oxidation on the base. Base and heels are painted.

Looks to date to around 1935 or so. Found at an Indiana antique show. Thought to be from the Indiana / Ohio / Kentucky area. About 11 and 1/4 inches tall. Looks like an old break to the legs from the base.

You can clearly see the line across the one leg and foot. Might be a break from when it was made. Looks like a possibility of glue under the foot. Also has some wear and scratches.

Some scratches and losses here and there.
