Rustic, colorful, whimsical and creative. Just plain fun from every angle. Martin's figures are hand carved from the traditional Copal wood. This fantastic carving is one of our favorites from Martin, showing a slice of traditional life in San Martin Tilcajete, where the whole village gets around on the moto taxis that zoom all over town.

But this piece features a hysterical scene of giraffes! The Male giraffe is playing his musical instrument in the back next to his wife who is carrying her basket all ready for the market!

Even the driver is a giraffe, but smaller in size representing the many kids in the village who drive these wild motorcycle taxis around. The piece is signed by the artist. Pure joy and pure fun!
