This hanging, hand-crafted from pine, locking, folk art, medicine cabinet is sure to be a conversation piece in your collection! The artist carved a scene of six sunflowers on approximately 3/4 of the flat area on the single door. The other fourth of the panel has a faux antler treatment behind what appears to be a monogram of J-R-S. The top of the cabinet also has the faux antler design contained in a two inch border along the edge of the top. In the center of the top is a carved banner with the year 1902--presumably the year this fantastic cabinet was created.
Both sides of the cabinets feature a sphinx (pharaoh head and lion body) and a dragon. Upon opening the door one immediately notices the words "What shall I take" carved on the inside of the door panel. The cabinet has two shelves and four compartments. The top shelf will accommodate an item up to 8 1/2" tall and the shelf below it can hold items up to 4" tall. The four compartments are all approximately 6" x 7". This piece is in great condition but does show some light signs of wear from age and use. Please consult all images and message with any questions. Please message with your zip code!
