Thissculpture has been carved with a chainsaw, and the fine details have been addedusing various hand tools. The owl's feathers and eyes have been hand painted bythe artist using a penetrating oil-based paint.

It has been sealed with sparurethane, so it can be placed indoors or outdoors. Each carving is unique andcarved by me, Patrick Allred.

I only use timber that hasfallen or died naturally. 95 % of the wood comes from behind my house. I put agreat deal of time, energy, and pride into every piece I carve. I have beencarving wood professionally for 17 years. I believe my art would bea welcome addition to any home or garden.
