Antique hand carved wood folk art working black duck decoy sculpture

  
This is a very interesting decoy in the sense of how someone had a working decoy, broke the head off and reattached it or a new one with a large nail. Definitely showed some ingenuity and thriftiness by making due with what was available. Glass eyes, handmade weight on the bottom.

Hand painted and probably hand carved from some kind of blank. I think this has a mallard head and a ruddy duck body. Overall length of body 9-1/2.

I know nothing else about this decoy. Picked it up at an estate sale in Northern WI. The estate was from a beer executive that lived all over the country.
