Antique Folk Art Carved Wood Eagle Pediment Ships Figurehead

  

Listing an early hand carved wooden eagle pediment. Possibly could be a ships figurehead. Hand carved from turn of the 20th century. Very well detailed with dark aged patina. Right wing was apparently glued, and beak looks to have an early repair.

Eagle style bird with a gothic mid-evil appearance. This pediment style carving would mount nicely on a corner. Also could be hung from a beam or ceiling. Measures 24 inches wingtip to wingtip. Head crest to tail tip measures 21 inches.
