VINTAGE MEXICAN WOOD CARVED FOLK ART CLOWN (PAYASO) MASK. This Mexican Wood Folk Art Mask is a hand carved clown /Payaso which was hand painted in red, blue, white, brown and black. These dance mask are used to bring humor and amusement to spectators from 50s' or 60s' in Mexico. Measures : 10" x 6 1/4".

It has wear from age and use, but overall looks good! Having been used in many a dance it has paint loss, paint fading, and discoloration. Some chipping of wood around mouth and chin and hairline wood crack at the top (please see all photos).

Having been used in dances the patina from the users face is evident on the raw wood back. Please see all photos for condition and feel free to ask any questions. A great addition to your Folk Art mask collection.
