UNIQUE Folk Art Carved Guy Riding Crazy Croc Alligator Eating Man Wood Sculpture

  

Up for sale is this super unique and wacky piece of carved and painted wood folk art sculpture of a man driving and steering a crazy colorful crocodile or alligator who has another man in its teeth holding a bloody knife. The croc / alligator is on top of two sets of wheels and perhaps was meant to be a handmade toy for a young child made and thought up clearly by a very creative adult. The proportions are off with the croc / alligator quite huge and with a funky curled tail. Very cool and a great piece for the collector of folk art or interesting carvings.

So different and really a one-of-a-kind piece! This is a pretty large piece with three parts to it and was created to allow it to move and turn, even making wide turns. Would make a neat sculpture to display for the art lover and also a really different toy for a youngster to play with, if you would allow that.

A lot of time and creativity went into the construction of this piece between carving all the parts, making it able to turn, and someone painting it all these fun colors and stripes. Measures 24.2" inches long, 8" inches high and wheels set apart 7.2 inches wide (61.5 cm, 20.3 cm, 7.3 cm). In great overall condition with seemingly no missing parts. The guy riding and steering the crazed croc / alligator has an arm that was a little over bent and cracked but is still sturdy and holds in place just fine without any glue. Would make a fantastic display piece, fine addition to a collection, or a great gift!
