Antique Vtg 19th C 1800s Folk Art Hand Carved Wooden Fox Head Mask Great Paint

  

This offering is for an antique 19th century hand carved wooden mask in the shape of a fox head. The mask is early with great darkening to the unfinished wood back and outstanding paint with great crazing and patina.

I'm not sure who made the mask, it could be native American Indian or Mexican but it is wonderful no matter what. The overall length is 8.25 and it measures app. One ear has been broken off and glued back on and there is minor wear to the paint as should be expected.
