Description : A large, Tramp Art Box for Jewelry, Trinkets, Keepsakes, Sewing, etc. 14L, signed Petrea Paulsen , possibly New York State, early-1900s.
Exterior with chip-carved and layered geometric elements; shell-form feet; stuffed maroon velvet lid. Hinged cover opens to reveal a red-lined rectangular compartment. Interior of lid with further chip-carved and painted wood framing a central mirror flanked by two Carte de visite (CdV) photos of a young boy and girl beneath glass.
