THIS IS A REALLY NEAT PIECE OF EARLY AMERICAN HISTORY. THIS IS WHAT I BELIEVE IS A HAND CARVED WOOD DOLL OR TOY.

IT IS THE TOP PART ONLY. IT MAY HAVE BEEN A PULL TOY BASED ON THE HOLE IN THE BACK OR IT MAY HAVE BEEN A DANCING DOLL. THE ONLY THING I'M SURE OF IS THAT THIS PRIMITIVE PIECE OF FOLK ART IS OLD. HOW OLD IT IS IS A GUESS.

IT CAME OUT OF AN ESTATE WITH A LOT OF VALUABLE ANTIQUES INCLUDING PAINTINGS. I WOULD SAY THIS PIECE IS EARLY 1900'S OR COULD BE EARLIER.
