Wood Carved Statue Primitive Marked Spain Polychrome Peasant Vintage Folk Art. This vintage hand carved and hand painted wooden figure has exceptional detail and expression.

This peasant boy looks like a vendor carrying baskets draped over his shoulders. The polychrome figure is wearing a large hat which is partly shielding his soulful eyes. Original label on the bottom with item numbers and what appears to be a store name: Bonachera & Andujar. Also marked Made in Spain on the label. The piece measures 8-1/2 inches in total height x about 5 inches across x 2-3/4 inches in depth.

This is a hand carved piece of folk art, done in a primitive style. There are wood and artist imperfections that can be seen upon close imperfection. There are no chips, cracks or repairs.
