Antique 1751 Folk Art hand carved wood figural Jaeger man sculpture statue

  
Up for sale is a rare antique hand carved wooden Folk Art figural sculpture made in 1751. It's nicely carved by hand out of a solid dense block of wood with intricate stylized detailing throughout and has acquired a lovely patina from age. The sculpture depicts a man standing on a tiered plinth holding a walking stick while his other hand rests in his pocket. It's engraved on the upper base reading "Jaeger 1751" along with writing on the face of the lower base. It's in great condition and measures 10 1/4 inches tall by 6 1/2 inches wide by 3 inches back to front.
