It features the Lion God Narasimha a principal deity in Hinduism, avatar of Vishnu, the one who incarnates in the form of part lion and part man to destroy evil and end religious persecution and calamity on Earth, thereby restoring Dharma -the eternal and inherent nature of reality, regarded in Hinduism as a cosmic law underlying right behavior and social order.

Exquisitely hand carved from one piece of wood, skillfully hand painted and gilt with great attention to the detail. Traditional colors: red, black and gold.
