Antique Early 20thC Folk Art Wood Carved Patriotic Eagle Trade Sign Bellamy Styl

  
Excellent patina on this nicely carved Bellamy style wood Eagle measuring just under 24" Long x 8" High x about 3.5 Deep. I believe he is carved from one piece of wood as I do not see any seams. My guess is first half of 20thC. He is holding two old hooks in his talons which probably held a sign of some sort. Not sure what kind of wood he is carved from. There was a knot hole which fell out at some point and a separation sprung from that as shown in the 9th & 6th photos. Hard to see on the front of the eagle. It was filled with something which has worn out somewhat. The wing is stable as the thicker part is not separated.
