This piece measures approximately 19 inches tall and 9 inches wide and weighs 4 pounds. The wood is from a Pine Log.
Each carving embodies the spirit of the tree it came from-a tree that stood tall through storms, seasons, and the passage of time until nature took its course. Whether felled by a strong wind, a lightning strike, or simply the years, this wood was not abandoned to rot, shredded into chips, or consumed by fire. Instead, it was carefully salvaged and lovingly transformed into a charming companion. Now, these Wood Spirits embark on a second life, ready to bring warmth, joy, and love into their new homes. My name is Angie Chaney.
I spend a lot of time in a little woodshop carving. I have a good dog that keeps me company and spends a lot of time in the woodshop sleeping. I think he finds me boring. From Chainsaw to Dental Bits.I begin most of my carvings by using a chainsaw to rough out and get the basic shapes. I then proceed all the way down to using tiny dental bits for the final details.
I enjoy carving for you!
