Southern Folk Art Outsider carved wood 14p Christmas Nativity Set David James

  
A rare and very special 14 piece hand carved nativity by Southern Folk artist David James (Born 1940, Kentucky). Manger is 12" X 10". See pictures for scale on other pieces. All pieces are carved pine and hand-painted with flat acrylic paint. Manger back is signed in ball-point pen "David James 1995".

I've seen several Noah's arks and other carvings by him, but no other Nativity sets. Condition is excellent with the exception of one camel neck repaired with glue.
