Campbell Folk School artist, Glenn Brown. He began carving in 1939. He was from one of the early class of carvers. Block initials GB are carved into the side of the base. The goose stands on a carved base.
Nice carving from one of the best-known early carvers from John & Olive Campbell's highly recognized Folk School. Excellent old original patina with paper label still attached. Looks to be Cherry Wood.
It measures about 9.25" tail to beak and stands about 4" high and 2.5 wide at the base. About 70 or 80 years old.
