MID Century Folk Art Carved Wood Rams Head Sculpture Table Base Original Paint

  

Mid Century, Hollywood Regency, pair of carved wood, Ram's Head table bases. This pair features original painted finish in a bluish gray and blush color palette. Though not marked, the pair were made by a company called SCOUT in the 1970s. They originally had a thick glass top which is no longer present and is not available.

They served as a double pedestal base under the glass as pictured. The pair are HEAVY, with each sculpture weighing 30lbs. They are in remarkable condition with a few, MINOR splits in the wood which is common. There have been no repairs and have no broken areas.

The paint is very good and there have been no touch ups anywhere. This is a unique pair and can be used as originally intended but could also be used as display sculptures. Each measures 25" long, 7" wide at the legs, and 16 tall.
