It measures 17" tall x 11" across x 1 1/2 thick. The carving shows the Canadian folk tale "La Chasse-Galerie", of a group of travelers who make a deal with Devil for a flying canoe. All ends well, I have heard!

They are depicted flying above a little town and its church steeple. There are wonderful carvings at the top as well, of snowshoes and axes, and this is signed by the artist in the lower right corner.

Wonderful, with the three dimensional carving giving it a feel of a tiny world before you. The exception to this is a very large or complex object that may require building a box.
