The whirligig is painted navy blue, black and grey. The train conductor looks to be African-American and has green hair. Impressed on the bottom with a "Chicken", Hand Carved by Charles Spiron, hand signed Charles Spiron,'83.

This folk art piece is well done and unique. The same piece can be found in Colonial Williamsburg, as seen on his website spirondecoys dot com.

Last picture is for anyone questioning how the artist crafted the arms. Measures 21.5" Height x 5.5" Depth x 5.5 Width. Excellent Vintage Condition, original patina with little to no paint loss, no cracks, dents, dings or repairs, may show very light wear consistent with age.
