My apologies to anyone who was "watching this" I realized after the fact I had failed to note that this was made by ANTONI KAMINSKI and is actually signed (See photos) I felt this information was important enough to add a photo and this information to the listing which I can't do with outstanding offers out there. This richly detailed piece captures the heart of a beloved springtime ritual in which village girls don regional costume, sing Marian hymns, and crown a "May Queen" (symbolic statue of the Virgin Mary) with fresh flowers. Central kneeling figure ("May Queen") in white gown with delicate floral crown. Seven standing girls in striped folk-dress and headscarves, mouths sculpted mid-song ("O" shape) to evoke hymn-singing. Two girls at front gently lifting the wreath onto the May Queen's head-an intimate, celebratory moment. Crafted in Poland by an anonymous folk artisan; inspired by the annual May Crowning (Korowód Maryjny) tradition in Polish villages. Celebrates Marian devotion and spring renewal-an authentic piece of Central European religious folk heritage. Solid wood carving (likely linden or pine), fully sculpted in the round-no molded or pressed parts. Hand-painted with folk-palette pigments: rich reds, greens, blues, ochres, and crisp whites.

Textured tool marks remain visible, emphasizing its handmade authenticity. Height: Approximately 37 cm (14.5?) to top of tallest head. Width: Approximately 27 cm (9?

) across the shoulders of the back row. Excellent vintage condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age.

No structural cracks or repairs; paint patina shows gentle age-darkening. Ready to display-ideal as a conversation-starting centerpiece, devotional art, or part of a folk-art collection. Why You'll Love It. Unique Conversation Piece: Rare to find a folk carving capturing motion and song so vividly. Cultural & Decorative Appeal: Brings warmth, color, and a touch of Polish tradition to any home, chapel, or gallery.

Collector's Treasure: Perfect for enthusiasts of religious folk art, ethnographic objects, or hand-crafted wood sculpture.
