Vintage Large Hand Carved Wooden Mahi Mahi Fish Sculpture Folk Art Nautical 37

  

Beautiful Vintage hand carved and painted mahi mahi/dolphin fish composed of 3 separate pieces of wood. The upper fin is screwed into the body and the lower front fin has a small piece screwed in. This has a nice rustic look and feel to it. It's not smooth or sanded.

I picked this up at a stunning beach front home estate sale in Melbourne Beach Florida. It's hard to give a condition on it because it's one of a kind. Looks amazing to me &####128514; Measurements are approximately 37 inches x 13 inches x 2 inches. It does not have much weight to it just under 5 pounds. No makers signature or initials on it. Unknown where it was made? I'm sure it's one of a kind. I'm guessing it's 1960s-1980s? You could easily install some wire on the back to hang it. It was leaning over the fireplace in the house when I found it. Please if you have any questions or need more photos don't hesitate to ask.
