Artist: Allen Christian (Founder of House of Balls, Minneapolis, MN). Year: 2000 Hand-signed and dated by the artist on the piece. Medium: Subtractive hand-carved resin bowling ball.
Visuals: Features an intricate, layered, expressionist brow and face structure. The carving leaves a highly pronounced profile with a prominent nose and defined lips protruding from the original spherical boundary of the ball. Deep, sweeping chiseled grooves sweep back from the forehead and cheeks, giving the translucent resin the appearance of long, stylized hair. The smooth, uncarved back section clearly retains the original factory-molded contour of the sphere and a portion of the original markings/ball identifiers on the bowling ball. Condition: Very good-vintage condition with crisp, sharp carved lines in sculpted area and original bowling ball markings ball indicators and finger holes on reverse.
No deep cracks or damage outside of the intended artistic markings and natural aging of the repurposed salvaged vintage ball material. Please review photos as they are a part of the description. Measurements & Weight: Are pictured with tape measure and weight on postal scale.
