Handsome Antique Primitive Folk Art Walnut Wood Carved Document Storage Box 16

  

This is a gorgeous folk art box with detailed applied decoration. I believe it is walnut with a brass handle.

It is in wonderful condition. There is a small piece missing from the escutcheon as shown in the photos and maybe a small chip somewhere on the box, but I really cannot see it. The box measures 16 Wide x 10" Deep x 8.25" High and has applied felt circles on the bottom.
