Anthony Hillman Baltimore Oriole Songbird decoy shorebird duck Cape May folk art

  
This is a male Baltimore Oriole, 7 3/4" long by 1 3/4" wide. Carved of dry white Cedar. Wings carved in relief, tail feathers detailed, eyes are painted brass tacks. Stands on sturdy wire legs, toes painted onto Cedar base. FYI: The check (crack) in base is normal for round bases, it won't spread. These bases are all air dried. If a base ever does get broken, I would replace it free of charge. Never had to honor that so far. Bill and tail have been hardened against breakage. Signed, "Anthony Hillman" 2020 with species ID.
