Vintage Wood Hand Carved Duck Decoy 13 Drake Painted Folk Art Detailed 1978. This piece was done with proper craftsmanship and fine detail in mind. For those who aren't familiar, Michigan artist R. Was an extremely talented woodworker who took pride in making quality bird carvings.

One look at the photos above makes his talent clear. Though passing in early 2021, this decoy stands as a tribute to Robert's attention to detail and love for bird carving. His work continues to speak for itself-timeless and deeply rooted in the artistic heritage of West Michigan. Measures approximately 13 inches long and weighs just above 2lb. Type of wood is unknown but feels solid.

Nothing has been altered as far as I know. Paint is original and no repairs have been done.

With that being said, there are a few areas with noticeable imperfections. Tail feathers show slight paint wear with two small chips. Right wing has a piece chipped and left wing has a very minor scuff.

The bill/nose has a small chip underneath. Besides that, it's an absolute stunner. The base is marked:'Carved by R.
