One-of-a-Kind Folk Art Wooden Whale wall hanging art - Handcrafted by New England Folk Artist "John Gibson" - Cape Cod whale watching Nautical Inspired. This unique wooden folk art wall hanging was handcrafted by a New England artist based out of the shoreline areas of Connecticut, Inspired from classic nautical themes. The back of the art piece is branded with the inscription. Hand Crafted by John Gibson. Some highlights of the piece: Looks like the original antique board has remnants of the old antique green original paint, washed over with a light oil paint as well, the whale is painted with an oil-based wash paint, allowing some of the grain in the wood to shine through, and the whale has a brass tack for eyes.

They were then lightly sanded it appears as well (possibly). Pretty awesome piece of work.

This is number 3 of 4 marked in chalk on the back to keep track this can easily be wiped off once you receive. Measuring approximately 7-1/2 X 22 X 1-3/8 inches, this piece carries both craftsmanship and coastal charm.
