BEAUTIFUL WOODEN FOLK ART DECOY. About 34" long x 7 1/2" x 15 when extended. Terrific solid body merganser decoy.

Oversized, with a whimsical folk art style. Hand painted in earthy greens, browns and black, with a red painted beak and red glass eyes.

Crown tuft appears to be horse hair, mimicking plumage. Elongated, exaggerated neck suggests an artist's interpretation, rather than strict realism.

Hinged at the neck, probably for ease in storage, perhaps for use in a lodge or cabin. No age checks or cracks. Some surface wear to the paint (all visible in the images). A BEAUTIFUL FOLK ART INTERPRETIVE DECOY.
