IT HAS SOME LITTLE STRESS SPLITS AND SOME EDGE LOST, BUT ABSOLUTELY NOTHING THAT YOU'LL CARE ABOUT, I PROMISE!!! ALSO IT'S UNTOUCHED SO THE GLASS IS PRETTY DIRTY. SORRY I DON'T TOUCH A THING FOR FEAR I'LL RUIN IT SOMEHOW. This beautiful wall frame features extremely ornate Victorian fretwork carving with intricate scrolls, floral motifs, and delicate openwork throughout. The craftsmanship is exceptional and displays the fine decorative style popular during the Victorian era. The frame holds two original cabinet card photographs of well-dressed gentlemen, posed in a classic Victorian studio setting with formal attire and bowler hat. Most importantly, the photographs appear to be completely original to the frame and have never been removed or disturbed. The backs remain sealed exactly as found, preserving the authenticity and untouched condition of this antique display.

The small decorative metal rosettes and original hardware securing the inner frames add to the period character of the piece. Very good antique condition for its age. Beautiful aged patina to the wood. Delicate fretwork remains largely intact.

Some minor age wear and small stress lines typical of thin Victorian fretwork. Photographs show normal antique toning. Nothing distracting and it displays beautifully. A wonderful Victorian display piece. Frames like this were often hung in Victorian parlors or hallways to display family portraits. Pieces with this level of fretwork carving and original untouched photographs are becoming increasingly difficult to find. A striking and authentic late 19th-century Victorian decorative piece.
