TERRIFIC FOLK ART PAINTED AND CARVED SWEDISH BRIDE'S BOX. About 11" x 4 3/4" x 6 high, counting the handle. Beautifu lidded folk art Swedish bride's box. Line carved with images of roses and other foliage. Swedish inscription on the lid. Inscribed with Initials "S K U" on one side, and faintly on the bottom S. / Sweden, probably the bride's initials. Some traces of old red and green paint remaining.

Two stitches missing from the overlapping joint. Rich, robust age patina (all visible in the images). A LOVELY SCANDINAVIAN FOLK ART BRIDE'S BOX!
