This beautiful work of art was handcrafted out of a single piece of copal wood. Copal wood is sustainably sourced in the fields surrounding the small towns of San Martin Tilcajete & Arrazola and is the wood of choice for wood carvers in Oaxaca. Many months went into creating this exceptional piece. From curing, carving, sanding & painting the wood.
An alebrije can take up to 15 months to complete depending on the size and complexity of the piece. Height/ Width: 12" x 6" x 11. Time to Complete: 8 Months. Signed by the artist (Certificate of authenticity included).
